The CEO of DGT Hans Pees entered a bet with 14 year old Elizabeth Cassidy from Kenya who DGT is also sponsoring. The bet was who will be first to 2000 in FIDE elo.
Unfortunately for Hans, Cassidy have been winning everything in 2026 and the reigning African Youth Champion is now on1967. Sorry Hans but this bet is over.. Luckily for Hans they will play together in the Chess 2 Change Tournament on June 14th.
